Is EarthWise free to try?
Yes — sign in and you’ll get 14 days of full access to the design tool, no payment required to start. If you decide to keep using EarthWise after your trial ends, a one-time purchase unlocks it permanently.
What’s the difference between Base and Pro?
Base and Pro are two separate products — you don’t need Base first to get Pro. Base is the complete design tool: everything you need to plan, analyse, and track your own land, as a one-time purchase. Pro is a standalone subscription that includes everything Base does, plus the tools for professional client work: unlimited projects, project sharing with clients and collaborators, your own logo and name on exported PDF reports, Blueprint mode for clean schematic views, custom icons for your species library, and KML export for Google Earth. If you’re designing your own property, Base is all you need. If you’re working with clients — or think you might down the road — go straight to Pro.
What does “lifetime access” mean?
Base is a one-time purchase — pay once and it’s yours permanently, with all future updates to Base features included. No renewal, no recurring charge. Pro is a separate, optional subscription that renews automatically until you cancel it, adding professional features on top of your Base access.
How many projects can I save?
Base includes up to 3 saved projects at a time — enough for most homeowners and gardeners designing their own property, and workable for a part-time designer cycling through a few active client jobs, since deleting a finished project frees up the slot. Pro includes unlimited projects, for designers managing multiple client sites at once.
Does EarthWise work offline?
You’ll need an internet connection to sign in. Once you’re in, EarthWise stores your projects on your device, so a brief connection drop while you’re working won’t interrupt you. Closing the tab or reloading while offline will ask you to sign in again before you can get back to your project. Purchases and cross-device backup/sync also need a connection.
Can I use EarthWise on my phone or tablet?
Yes — EarthWise works in any modern browser on desktop, laptop, tablet, and phone.
Can I use EarthWise for professional client work?
Absolutely — Pro is specifically designed for working designers. Branded PDF reports let you deliver professional client documents with your own logo. KML export opens your design directly in Google Earth. Project sharing lets you give clients and collaborators access to a project, with everyone’s view kept in sync. What happens to my designs and data?
Your designs belong entirely to you. EarthWise stores your projects locally on your device, and we never claim any ownership over what you create. You can export your work at any time. We will never use your designs for any purpose without your explicit permission.
